1 Data Collection (Scraping)

We collect technical information from publicly available sources, including service status pages, technical blogs, and industry news outlets, using automated tools.

Purpose: To create operational summaries and "signals" for IT professionals.
Data Types: We focus exclusively on technical data. Any personal names found in source materials (e.g., article authors) are omitted or anonymized in our final briefings whenever technically feasible.
Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), as we provide critical operational information to the IT community.

2 Information for Subscribers

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process:

Email Address: To deliver the newsletter to your inbox.
Interaction Data: We track open rates and clicks to improve our content relevance.
Legal Basis: Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "unsubscribe" link in the footer of every email.

3 Automated Processing (AI)

We utilize Artificial Intelligence (OpenAI via Make.com) to analyze and synthesize technical data.

No profiling with legal effects is performed on subscribers.
The AI exclusively processes technical source texts to generate summaries.

4 Storage Retention

Raw Data: Data collected via scraping is stored in our internal systems for a maximum of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted.
Subscriber Data: We retain your email address as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is removed from our active mailing lists in accordance with standard beehiiv terms.

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Object to our processing based on legitimate interest.
